The mess in Minneapolis and the riots that followed beg many questions.

Did the riots, looting, setting buildings on fire, beatings and murder of innocents have anything to do with the tragic death of George Floyd? Or were they simply thugs taking advantage of the situation? Did any of the guys who flung bricks through windows and set churches afire go to bed filled with satisfaction they had made “statements” about racial injustice?

Many of their victims were black business people and blacks who shopped with them.

Who do you suppose organized and funded the rioters? Who paid for the co-ordination between groups? And the staging of the bricks at convenient locations?

Why don’t our fabulous intel people ever know who finances and organizes riots? They have had many riots and years to figure this out. Is it cruel to suggest they might have spent less time and money trying to hijack a presidency and more trying to trace the roots of racial riots?

Why did so many of our politicians and celebrities side with the rioters? This is not about demonstrators, protestors and the like. I refer to rioters. Thugs who destroyed businesses and churches. Why have Hollywood types praised them? And paid for their bail? In short, why would anyone praise and support guys who torched a church?

Why did we not have a show of force by our former presidents? Why would they not speak out with something like “We disagree about many things. But we all agree that violence and rioting and destruction are evil.” After all, countless major cities of this nation, which they love, were under siege. Along with the area around the White House.

Why did some professors help bail out violent rioters? Why did some offer advice on how to topple monuments? And dodge incarceration? In other words, how could educated people aid and abet anarchists?

Why is it we – in a larger sense – cannot even agree that rioting and destruction are wrong? We civilized (supposedly) folks are actually debating the question.

Are the Left and Right equally associated with the rioters? Or is there no Left or Right involvement?
Who wants this anarchy? Who benefits from it?

Why have we seen so much finger-pointing by politicians, trying to score points? They are our leaders, or wish to be. Is it really that important to them to blame others for this calamity?

Does any political movement or ideology encourage and support this mayhem? If so, is it worthy of respect?

Is any of the rioting connected with the hatred so many feel for President Trump? In other words, do any people torch buildings because they despise him? C’monn.

Does any of the looting and rioting have anything to do with anything logical or legitimate? Apart from a wish to destroy a country.

Why did prominent politicians speak of systemic racism but say nothing about protecting, defending and supporting our police? Why did the Dallas public prosecutor refuse to prosecute rioters? Not protestors. Rioters! He would not prosecute them.

Why did Massachusetts’ Attorney General declare the riots were “…a once in a lifetime opportunity”? “Yes, America is burning, but that’s how forests grow.” She is the chief law enforcement officer for the state of Massachusetts. In Virginia the Fairfax County Democrat Committee tweeted “Riots are an integral part of this country’s march toward progress.” How does that resonate with you?

How could various celebs and NY Times people declare support for de-funding police? They insist we eliminate all cops and prisons. “Rapid-response social workers” would keep the peace. Do you suppose that would work?

Did the President draw more criticism for holding a bible up in front of an historic church than the thugs who had set it on fire? Methinks he did.

Who on earth would want to be an inner-city cop? Who would want their partner or child to be one?

Is anyone prepared to do battle with police unions? To make departments more transparent to root out bad cops? To end the protection of bad cops by unions? The officer accused of the murder had 18 complaints previously filed against him.

Meanwhile, the Minneapolis police had 2600 complaints filed against them since 2012. Only 12 resulted in disciplinary action. The most severe punishment was a one-week suspension from duty. Out of 2600 complaints. And you know you risk retaliation when you file a complaint.

Does New York’s new bail reform law still make sense? Most of the looters and rioters arrested were released without bail. Many returned to the scene to riot again.

If progressives are so concerned about the fate and living conditions of African-Americans, why don’t they support achool choice? Why don’t they support vouchers? No one can deny these lead to better education. And why don’t they call for more police for black neighborhoods? In 2016 there were 2870 murders of blacks. And 2570 were committed by blacks.

I hope the questions did not make you feel uncomfortable.
